'EYE. ON. YOU.' 2026.

Know Your Eyes. They See Everything.

A BlueOnBlack.org National Awareness Campaign - May 2026.

In Recognition of Ocular Melanoma Awareness Month & Dilated Eye Exam Importance.

May is officially recognized as Ocular Melanoma Awareness Month, and BlueOnBlack.org is proud to launch 'Eye. On. You.' 2026. - a powerful, month-long national initiative to raise awareness, promote early detection, and build a united community focused on eye health and ocular cancer education.

In collaboration with patients, caregivers, doctors, nurses, students, athletes, musicians, performers, neighbors, families, and friends, we invite everyone to join the mission:

To Know Your Eyes—because your eyes see everything, and it's time you see them too.

Why It Matters

Your eyes are your window to the world. Yet, many people don't take time to understand or care for their vision until it's too late. Annual dilated eye exams are crucial to maintaining eye health and detecting silent threats like Ocular Melanoma (OM)—a rare but serious eye cancer that often shows no symptoms until vision is already at risk.

Early detection can save sight—and even save lives.

A Month of Awareness, Action, and Advocacy

Throughout May 2026, 'Eye. On. You.' will host and promote a wide range of events and activities across the country:

  • 🟦 Fundraisers to support research, patient support, and outreach programs

  • 🟨 Challenges to engage and educate the public. Supporting Community Driven Events like Eye Patch Day, sponsored by ACureInSight.org, where participants wear an eye patch for one day to raise awareness and honor those affected by OM

  • 🟧 Educational campaigns on the importance of dilated eye exams and knowing your risk factors

  • 🟩 Community partnerships to improve accessibility to eye care in rural, urban, and underserved areas

Join the Movement

We understand that not everyone has easy access to care, or the time to spare for a 45-minute eye exam. But that’s why 'Eye. On. You.' exists—to break down barriers and build up awareness, one community, one conversation, one eye exam at a time.

Support BlueOnBlack.org in any way you can—donate, share, participate, educate. Your involvement helps create a unified voice delivering one powerful message:

"Know Your Eyes. They See Everything."

Let’s Get OM Connected. Let’s See It Coming.
