BlueOMBlack.org | BlueOMBlack.com | The BlueOnBlack.org streaming media platform was created after being diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma, a rare and often overlooked form of eye cancer.

Like many, I turned to the internet looking for answers, support, and community. What I found were a few websites, some scattered podcasts, and a lot of inactive YouTube channels - but not nearly enough connection, not nearly enough visibility.

That’s when I discovered something symbolic: the awareness ribbon for Ocular Melanoma is Blue On Black. It hit me - we need more than just information. We need awareness, early detection, and a way to truly connect people to this cause in a powerful, meaningful way. So I created BlueOMBlack.org.

The focus is simple: use the power of video to tell real stories. In 2025, video is still one of the most underutilized tools in health advocacy - yet it’s also one of the most powerful. Watching someone share their journey, hearing a caregiver's perspective, listening to a doctor explain cutting-edge treatments - these things build understanding and empathy in ways words alone can’t.

BlueOMBlack.org is a hub for video content, images, podcasting, and digital media centered on Ocular Melanoma - from patients, caregivers, doctors, researchers, clinics, and hospitals. We’ll share stories, treatments, news, and most importantly, emphasize the critical role of dilated eye exams in catching this disease early.

Because at the end of the day, we connect best when we can see and hear each other - when we gather, speak, and listen. The art of video and storytelling is personal. It’s relative to your life, your experiences, and the impact this disease may have had on you or someone you love.

BlueOMBlack.org is here to make those connections visible. And to remind us that awareness starts with seeing - and it can start with you.

The mission is simply to create a space that provides some information, streaming media and current content, and a safe place for people effected by Ocular Melanoma.

The original mission was much different - now, BlueOMBlack is a shared space online for anyone who wants to share their story, connect with other OMies, and find inspiration.
